Ever since I taught my first formal lesson in high school, I knew that I wanted to teach music. I began my musical journey at the age of 12 and have been playing now for 22 years. I have been teaching private music lessons for 15 years, to children and adults of various skill levels. I have received my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Texas Baptist Seminary in Longview, Tx.
Currently, I play with the New Life Symphony Orchestra in Dallas, the North East Texas Symphony Orchestra and the North East Texas Choral Society. In addition to providing music for weddings, churches and special events, I enjoy playing in local nursing homes and loving on our elderly.
As of September 2017 I have started a Non-Profit 501(c)3 Youth Orchestra in Sulphur Springs, this has been a life long dream of mine. I want to be able to inspire the kids in our area that they can make beautiful music together, it's not just for the "Professionals" and that we can make a difference in our community.
In the past, I have participated in the Marshall and Longview Symphony Orchestras as well as being a part of many individual Orchestras, Ensembles and Stringed Quartets. I have worked with Mobberly Academy of Performing Arts for 5 years teaching Violin and Rockwall School of Music for 3.5 years teaching Violin, Viola and Piano before starting my own studio. I currently offer Violin, Viola, Cello, Ukulele, Piano and Voice Lessons.
Teaching for me is not just a "Job" but a calling, I want to show my students what the Love of Music can do for them and many others. I personally feel that I have grown educationally, characteristically and spiritually through the learning of Music, I am blessed to be given this opportunity to teach my students! My greatest desire is to instill in my students the same love and passion for music that I learned at a young age. Giving our "Musical Gifts" to people, will not only uplift others but show them what the Lord can do through us.
